Custom Vessels:
For specialist applications, we design and manufacture
custom work vessels.
Our in house design and manufacturing capabilities
enables us to tailor specific design parameters into a
vessel to make it "fit for purpose" and meet
relevant survey requirements.
An example of this is a bouy retrieval vessel, a modified
Landing Barge vessel with bouy deployment equipment to
satisfy O.H & S requirements.
An example of a modification / addition to a vessel is
the design and construction of a towing frame for a side
imaging sonar as supplied to a government agency.
We can also design and fabricate components for vessels,
ie: a new aluminium cabin supplied in kit form to be
fitted to an existing commercial vessel.
Custom vessels can also be supplied in non powered form,
ie: dumb barges. Many of these vessels do not need to be
put into survey as they are not powered, but many do
require design for load carrying capacity, so hydrostatic
calculations and stability data requires computation
before manufacture. We can assist in these matters if
required.
